Frequently Asked Questions
Whilst it’s not always necessary it is preferred. We often are fully booked and we would be disappointed if a bride walked in without an appointment and we weren’t able to assist her straight away. If you just want to come into our showroom and view our collection, you are welcome to do that without an appointment.
Appointments are for an hour, giving you plenty of time to try on as many dresses as you like.
An open mind is the most important thing to bring along. Be open to trying on different styles of wedding dresses, even if you’re not sure. You will be surprised what looks great on!
There is no limit on how many wedding dresses you can try on. Just keep in mind that the more you try on the more you may get confused with what you like.
We take your measurements so the designer can make your dress to the closest size that you are, then you will need to pay a deposit to get your order started, which is 50% of the price of your dress. Once your dress arrives we will begin booking in your fittings for alterations.
Depending on the designer you choose, wedding dresses take approximately 5 to 8 months to arrive, then you need to allow 4 weeks for your alterations.
Yes, of course! You can pay in instalments that suit you as long as the 50% deposit is paid with enough time to order your dress. We can advise you of your timings at your appointment.
You will have your first fitting approximately 4 weeks before your wedding, your second fitting 2 weeks before and then at least one fitting on the week leading up to your big day.
If you require more fittings then we do them as required. We will do as many as are needed to get your dress fitting you perfectly.
Bring along the shoes you will be wearing on your wedding day and any undergarments you are thinking of wearing. Most wedding dresses don’t require you to wear a bra due to the bra cups and boning already built in so don’t go spending too much money on strapless bras etc until you’ve tried on your wedding dress at your first fitting.
It is always best to wait until your first fitting to choose your accessories. You will know by then how you are having your hair and also it’s easier to match the colour of your veil and the beading etc of your headpiece to your wedding dress whilst you have it on.
